Week 11
Body Size
At eleven weeks pregnant, you may experience some relief from your fatigue and your morning sickness. This means that you will get your appetite back and you will probably gain more weight in the oncoming months. This is because your need for calories will increase significantly. In addition, your fingernails and your hair will grow faster. You may experience this at week eleven or sometime in the near future when your child begins to grow faster.
You may also experience varicose veins. This is a result of the increasing blood volume within your body. If you need help with your swollen ankles then maybe you should purchase support stockings. Support stockings will help with the pressure in your veins. This will reduce swelling a little bit.
You might also experience problems with acne. This is largely due to your hormones and extra oil in your skin. You may want to stop using oil based skin products for the duration of your pregnancy.
Baby Size
During the eleventh week of your pregnancy, your child's skin will be transparent. Your child's skin will also be forming a protective barrier. Even though there is a barrier around your child, you will still be able to see his or her blood vessels through the skin. You may also notice that your child is opening and closing his or her fists.
During the eleventh week of your pregnancy, your child's ears will move to their permanent place. In addition, his or her reproductive organs will still be in the process of developing. The toenails and fingernails of your child will begin to form during this week as well.
Compare Size
At eleven weeks, your child could now fit into the palm of your hand comfortably. He or she will be around two and a half inches long. In addition, he or she will weigh in at one third of an ounce. You could compare him or her to the size of a kiwi.
