Week 8
Body Size
Although your body is constantly growing, you still will not look very pregnant. This is especially so if this is only your first pregnancy. Some women believe that they look more bloated or chubby than actually pregnant. Although this is the case, you will still feel very pregnant. You might still be experiencing some pregnancy symptoms that may cause you to feel very ill. When you are eight weeks pregnant, your uterus has expanded. It will now be the size of a small grapefruit.
If you are pregnant with twins, your uterus and the rest of your body is growing faster than other women. This means that you might show sooner than normal. This is also the case for women who have been pregnant before. This is mainly because the muscles have had time to relax.
Pregnancy symptoms include increased breast growth. During a woman's pregnancy, her breasts may grow between one to three cup sizes. This is very normal. You may need to buy a new bra that is a size or two bigger. This will help you deal with your increasing size.
Baby Size
At eight weeks pregnant, your child's tail that developed in earlier stages will now disappear. He or she will also begin to develop tiny eyelids at this stage.
You will be able to notice that your child's arms and legs are growing longer. This will allow him or her to appear more proportional.
His or her brain is also growing and maturing at this stage. This is because nerve cells are actually connecting and communicating with each other.
Compare Size
Y our child will be around twenty millimeters long at eight weeks pregnant. This is because his or her legs and arms grew to an impressive length. He or she is now the size of a very large kidney bean, although he or she will still weigh around one gram. You will be able to notice your child at this point.
