Planning for the hospital what to take
What to Take to the Hospital When Having a Baby You may know what to take to the hospital when having a baby-then again-what to take for a hospital stay might be the last thing on your pregnant mind right now! Either way, below is a list of suggestions on what to take for a hospital stay:
What to Bring to the Hospital--Essentials Of course we know that when it comes to deciding on what to bring to the hospital the most important thing to bring is yourself! However, there are a few other things that will serve to make your stay in the hospital a more comfortable one.
- PJs: You've just had a baby. So make sure you catch those much-needed ZZZZs in some comfy, cozy two piece PJs.
- Lot's of underwear! Make sure you bring underwear with plenty of room. Dark colors are good in case of leaks.
- Maternity bra: Even if you're not breastfeeding, your chest is going to be too sensitive for underwire bras.
- Sanitary pads: You are not going to be able to use tampons after giving birth due to a high risk of infection.
- Breast pads: You might not need these initially, but by the time you are released, your milk will most likely have arrived.
- Toiletries: A fresh supply of shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, soap, a brush and shaver will go a long way in making you feel better!
