Planning for pregnancy habits to consider
Good Pregnancy Health! If you're planning on getting pregnant, it's vitally important that you change bad habits-stat! You will be dealing with a lot of body changes once you are pregnant, so the sooner you get your pregnancy health in check-the better. If you're pregnancy planning, make sure you get a handle on the following habits first:
Pregnancy Planning: Bad Habits to Correct
- Don't smoke. Smoke can cause all sorts of problems from low birth weight to infant death. Also, avoid second hand smoke.
- Avoid alcohol. Even a little alcohol may harm your baby-no matter what kind it is.
- Don't use drugs. Heroin, cocaine, codeine, uppers, downers, LSD and so on, can cause serious problems with your baby.
- Healthy eating during pregnancy is critical! Make sure you talk to your doctor or a nutritionist to learn what healthy eating during pregnancy means for you.
- Make sure your partner is eating well and avoiding bad habits as well. Some habits can affect sperm badly, and can include: smoking, drinking, using drugs, unhealthy diet and so on.
- Exercise regularly. Now is the time to get off the couch and move!
- Get plenty of sleep and rest. Reduce stress.
- Beware of dangers on your job.
